We start at 7.30pm when Rabbi David Meyer will give an update on the current work of PaJeS. The workshops will then begin, when we will split into breakout rooms, and finish by 9.15pm.
There is a choice of three workshops. As they take place at the same time, you can only choose one so please make sure your governors spread out to cover different topics. You will need to indicate your choice when you fill in the form below.
Governing AI in Schools – responsibilities, risks and opportunities
Jonathan Roe, NGA Consultant
The course will cover the current use of generative AI in schools and governance, focusing on workload benefits and challenges to both teachers, leaders and those in governance. Jonathan will share key NGA guidance around governor and trustee accountabilities and compliance issues. By the end of the workshop you will feel that you are aware of the issues around AI, and you will know the key questions you should be asking in your governance role.
This session has limited capacity so spaces will be available on a first-come basis.
Supporting School Leaders in Crisis Management

As schools increasingly encounter moments of crisis, ranging from antisemitic incidents and sudden tragedies to concerns about potential risk; this presentation explores how school governors can effectively support and guide school leaders during these challenging times.
Monitoring the Curriculum – roles, responsibilities and impact
Jillian Dunstan, Educational Consultant
The session will focus on how the curriculum lead governor and other governors provide strategic oversight of the school curriculum and clarify responsibilities.
It will cover understanding curriculum expectations, monitoring impact, asking effective challenge questions, working with school leaders to contribute to school improvement and accountability.
There is no charge for those schools paying a subscription to PaJeS. There will be a charge of £20 per person for schools who have not subscribed.
