Meet the PaJeS Trustees

The PaJeS trustees are a made up of a supportive professional team, a governing body that believes in the PaJeS holistic approach of growth and innovation.
Dov Black

Chair of Trustees

Dov is the Managing Partner of BBS Law in Manchester. Dov’s day-to-day business focus is corporate finance work, but outside the office, he is all about the community.

A founder member of his synagogue, Dov is now Chair of its Trustees, alongside serving on several Jewish educational boards in London and the North West.

Dov is looking forward to bringing his unique perspective and expertise to the vital work of PaJeS.

Sarah Anticoni

Trustee

Sarah Anticoni is a partner in the Family team at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP working as a lawyer and mediator. She was Chair for PaJeS from 2016 to 2023. She was a founding governor of Etz Chaim School, a free school in Mill Hill, and has been involved in Jewish education since she sat on the Commission on Jewish Schools under Lesley Wagner.

Dan Lichtenstein

Trustee

Dan, his wife, two daughters and son moved from Chicago to London in 2010. His kids went to Kerem and JFS.

Dan is general counsel and company secretary of Grant Thornton International Ltd, the coordinating entity of the Grant Thornton network of independent accounting firms around the world. His areas of expertise include brand protection, insurance, governance and risk management.

Prior to moving to London, he was active on several Chicago Jewish and Israel organisational boards.

Dan served as a governor at Kerem School for about eight years, including as vice-chair during the last year of his tenure (which ended in March 2023). He joined the PaJeS board in 2018.

Sue Nyman

Trustee

Sue is a chartered accountant working in a senior role in risk management at Grant Thornton, one of the country’s largest accounting and financial advisory practices. As well as being a trustee of PaJeS, she is a trustee of a number of other organisations. Until December 2021 she was chair of the Yavneh College multi academy trust, being a founding trustee of Yavneh College and Yavneh Primary School, involved in the establishment of both schools.

Sue is also a trustee of the London School of Jewish Studies being responsible for governance over teacher training. She is treasurer of the Council of Christians and Jews and is a member of the Audit and Risk committee of JW3, as well as holding a number of other communal governance posts.

Susy Stone MA BEM

Trustee

Susy is a retired Headteacher with over 40 years’ experience in Education. She was Head of Bell Lane Primary and of Akiva School and served as a governor of both schools and of JFS, where she taught and was a parent. She is Vice Chair of the Yavneh College Academy Trust and Chair of the Yavneh College Local Governing Body. She is a Steering Group member for Pikuach. In 2023 she was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to Education. Susy and her husband, Maurice founded and direct the Israeli Dance Institute.

Anthony Wagerman

Trustee

Anthony spent 17 years in a variety of positions at Travelex, before becoming its Chief Executive Officer from 2015-2018. Travelex is the world’s largest specialist foreign exchange company, operating across 30 countries. During his time at Travelex he worked across several senior functions and a number of different regions, helping to build Travelex into a global leader in foreign exchange for retail and corporate customers. He has held posts as Retail Director, Managing Director for Europe & Americas, and Deputy CEO. 

Anthony is now a Director of iFast Global Bank, a senior advisor to two other fx/payments companies, a Board Member of CST (Community Security Trust), and a Trustee of The Dorfman Foundation and The Ronson Foundation.
