Practical Guidance to Delivering a More Nuanced Program of Israel Education

02/12/2024
7-9pm
Zoom

The focus of this training is how to deliver a more nuanced program of Israel education; how to park one’s own bias and create the right environment to critically explore a spectrum of viewpoints.

The session will run in two parts:

Part 1 Delivered by Dr Glenn Bezalel, Deputy Head of City Boys and author of Teaching Classroom Controversies:

  • What are the educational benefits of bringing controversy into the classroom?
  • Facts vs opinion – When is it ok to ‘step in’ or draw the line?

Part 2 Delivered by Vadim Blumen, Head of the Jewish Agency in the UK and Western Europe:

  • Practical guidance on teaching conflicting narratives about the Israel/Palestine conflict.
