Empowering Ivrit Learning through Game-Based Learning and Gamification

These two workshops aim to train Hebrew educators in the principles, tools, and implementation of GBL (Game Based Learning) and Gamification to increase student motivation, participation, and promote language competency.

The Presenter, Mia Angrist whose interests include, amongst others, visual and digital literacy in SLA (Second Language Acquisition), game-based learning and gamification in SLA, community-based experiential language learning, and curriculum design.

Objectives:

To introduce educators to the theoretical and practical distinctions between GBL and Gamification.
To explore how both strategies can support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in SLA.
To provide hands-on experience in designing gamified activities and integrating games in lesson plans.

The workshop will be led in Ivrit and is free for PaJeS’ subscribed schools.
