AQA is an educational charity committed to helping students and teachers realise their potential. We’re looking to add a Scrutineer to our team to support the delivery of our A-level Modern Hebrew specification.

This role can be worked flexibly and is designed to be carried out alongside full time teaching or other commitments.

What you’ll do

You’ll test draft assessments from the perspective of a student to ensure that the assessments are complete, valid and appropriate. You will sit the question paper and provide written feedback to the assessment team, considering aspects such as wording, time constraint, and the consistency of question difficulty.

In your application’s personal statement, please provide evidence of:

  • Thorough knowledge of Modern Hebrew and involvement in education.
  • Ability to empathise with students and understand how they may respond to assessments.
  • Comprehension of what makes a good question paper.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clear, honest and appropriate feedback.
  • Delivery to strict deadlines with the ability to work well on time-sensitive tasks.
