The Successful Candidate will:
- Have English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
- Be flexible and a team player
- Have the patience and understanding to work with student with academic and other challenges e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, ASC
This post includes:
- Supporting students in the classroom by adapting and explaining work, helping them to focus
- Supporting students 1:1 by pre-teaching, explaining lessons, classwork and homework and running and assisting with small groups e.g with adapted work, lego therapy, social skills, ADHD
- Helping out in whole school or year group assemblies and activities
Training:
- In house training
- External training on subjects of special interest e.g. lego therapy, Team teach, dyslexia, dyscalculia
- The possibility of teacher training and becoming a qualified teacher
