The Assistant Head Teacher at Shoresh will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher in the overall management, leadership, and day-to-day operations of the nursery across both the Pre-School and our Baby and Toddler Provision. This role requires a passionate and experienced minimum Level 3-qualified educator with a strong background in early childhood education and an understanding of Jewish values, practices and traditions.
The Assistant Head Teacher will work closely with the Shoresh team to weave the Montessori approach into the fabric of the nursery, alongside an interactive and inspiring Jewish programme of learning. (You do not need to have direct experience of working in a Montessori setting, but we do require the candidate to have an interest in the Montessori approach).
The Assistant Head will work closely with parents to fully understand and embrace the needs and development requirements of every child, and will do so with respect, patience and empathy – qualities that are essential to upholding a homely and nurturing environment across our settings. You will need to be thoughtful and proactive, committed to ensuring the provision of high-quality education and care for children, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll be helpful and enthusiastic in your approach to work and dedicated to building strong relationships across Shoresh and the wider BNJC team.
