We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team to support an individual pupil joining our school in September.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Provide 1:1 support for a named pupil, including facilitating their access to learning and participation in classroom activities.
• Work with the pupil and, where appropriate, alongside their peers to promote inclusion and independence.
• Assist in the preparation of personalised, adapted resources and learning activities.
• Support the pupil with personal care needs, in line with school policies and training.
• Foster a safe, positive and nurturing environment for all pupils.
• Monitor and provide feedback to teachers on the pupil’s progress, engagement and behaviour.
• Support during breaktimes, lunchtimes and educational visits, where required.

This is a fixed-term post linked to the educational provision for a specific pupil. The post will continue while the pupil remains on roll at the school and requires this level of support, or until funding ceases.
