Sue Harris Trust

Growing the number of Jewish bone marrow donors

What we do
This charity was set up in memory of Sue Harris who sadly passed in 1997 because a suitable bone marrow match could not be found for her.
We are active in helping to grow the register of possible donors from the Jewish community, as well as supporting medical research in this area.
Our focus now is on recruiting donors aged between 16 and 24 years of age. The process involves completing a medical questionnaire and taking a mouth swab.

What we offer schools
We would like to engage Jewish secondary schools in our mission to recruit more donors amongst pupils in years 12 and 13. We provide all the necessary elements, at no cost to the school.
School years we work with
Y12 and Y13

Cost to school
No cost
