Hours: Up to 24.75 hours per week, term time only:

  • Ivrit Instructor: 3.75 hours per week
  • Hebrew Reading and Jewish Studies Support: 21 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

The successful candidate will work to support the school’s aims and values, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning and promoting excellent outcomes for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Ivrit Instructor

  • Inspire and motivate pupils to develop a genuine love of learning Ivrit as a vibrant, living language.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that cater for a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide appropriate challenge, encouragement and support to enable every pupil to achieve success.

Hebrew Reading and Jewish Studies Support

  • Provide one-to-one support to help pupils develop their Hebrew reading skills.
  • Mark written translation work and provide clear, constructive guidance on next steps.
  • Prepare and adapt materials to support pupils’ Hebrew reading development.

Whole-School Contribution

  • Contribute to the promotion of Jewish culture, values and traditions throughout the school community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintain high expectations of achievement, behaviour and engagement for all pupils.
