We are a an Alternative Provision in Hendon committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment. We are currently seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our English team, teaching Key Stage 4 students at the secondary education stage.

Position:
English Teacher
Department: English and Literature
Education Stage: Secondary (Key Stage 4)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English to Key Stage 4 students.
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work according to curriculum standards.
• Support students’ development of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department to enhance teaching strategies.
• Contribute positively to the school community through participation in events and activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English at Key Stage 4 level or equivalent secondary education stage.
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent recognised certification for teaching in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements for English.
• Excellent communication skills with both students and colleagues.
• Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater for diverse learning needs.
